Using GIMP, how can I make the same change to multiple pictures?

Basically I've got about 40 pictures, all of the same size and I want to add a small mark in the same place to all of them.

Is it possible to do this, without editing them, one by one? If so, how?

I don't have Photoshop or Fireworks MX, only GIMP. They're all about 100x100 pixels and in .dds format.

Although this program is intended as an image resizer, it has a tool for watermarking.

Once you've downloaded it, you'll find watermarking under %26quot;advanced settings%26quot;.

You are going to have a problem using that format. Microsoft DirectDraw Surface (DDS) file format is not one that's listed amongst the file formats GIMP can open. You can however get a plugin to get GIMP to open it.

Unfortunately GIMP doesn't have a simple scripting option like Photoshop actions to do this sort of job. You are going to have to do it by hand, one by one.
