Changing picture size in photoshop?

I know how to change the physical size of it I was wondering if there was an easy way to, say, take a 2MB picture and make it 1MB or just under.|||Launch PhotoShop, then Open your picture.

Image %26gt; Canvas Size

Set the size anyway you want..you can see

the old file size settings along with new file

size settings as you are accomplishing the

task. If you do canvas size clipping might occur

depending on the frame of reference, you might

end up ruining you picture

So I suggest, open your picture then do this instead

Image %26gt; Image Size and check constrain proportions

and scale sizes boxes. And alter the size this way..!|||You%26#039;d need to decrease the quality or size of the image. When you save it, change the extension to a JPEG and when the quality slider comes up decrease it to about 5/6, you can change it if it doesn%26#039;t come under 1MB. And I%26#039;m sure you know how to change the size of a photo.
